Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. MYCPE ONE is seeking a highly experienced Vice President of Accounting to lead and scale their US accounting services business. This role involves overseeing operations for the Direct-to-Client (DTC) business, focusing on integrating and optimizing CPA firms acquired through a roll-up acquisition strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead the operational integration and consolidation of CPA firms acquired through roll-up acquisitions
- Develop and execute post-acquisition integration strategies to align people, processes, technology platforms, and service delivery models
- Establish standardized operating procedures and governance frameworks across acquired entities
- Identify and capture operational synergies while maintaining client service excellence and employee engagement
- Partner with executive leadership to support business expansion, profitability objectives, and long-term strategic initiatives
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of Tax, Accounting, Audit, and Advisory engagements for US clients
- Ensure effective coordination between client-facing teams, engagement managers, and delivery teams
- Monitor operational performance, capacity planning, resource utilization, and service quality across all engagements
- Develop and implement KPIs and performance metrics to drive accountability and operational excellence
- Lead process improvement initiatives focused on scalability, efficiency, and margin enhancement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with CPA firm partners, business owners, and key stakeholders
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on operational and service delivery matters
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality work products while exceeding client expectations
- Support client retention, growth initiatives, and cross-selling opportunities across service lines
- Lead and mentor Senior Managers, engagement leaders, and cross-functional operational teams
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Drive talent development, succession planning, and leadership capability building
- Support organizational change management during acquisitions and integration initiatives
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, tax, audit, regulatory, and firm standards
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure seamless execution
- Establish quality control measures and best practices across all service engagements
- Maintain strong governance and reporting structures for executive leadership and stakeholders
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- CPA designation strongly preferred
- 12+ years of progressive leadership experience within US CPA firms, accounting services, or professional services organizations
- Proven experience managing Tax, Accounting, Audit, and Client Service operations
- Demonstrated success leading operational transformation, process optimization, and organizational scaling initiatives
- Experience integrating acquired businesses, mergers, or roll-up acquisition platforms is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of US accounting, tax, and audit practices
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and executive leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and large-scale operational initiatives simultaneously
- Experience working with private equity-backed organizations or acquisitive growth platforms
- Strong background in post-merger integration (PMI) and change management
- Exposure to offshore/global delivery models within accounting or professional services organizations
- MBA or advanced business degree preferred
