The Vantage Talent Group is working on behalf of a nationally recognized wealth management organization to identify a Vice President, Recruiting to lead and execute the organizations advisor acquisition strategy. This executive leadership role is responsible for building a best-in-class recruiting organization focused on attracting experienced financial advisors and overseeing various recruiting initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive advisor recruiting strategy aligned with the firm's growth objectives
- Establish annual recruiting goals for advisor headcount, transferable revenue, and advisory assets
- Build recruiting initiatives targeting experienced advisors, breakaway teams, employee advisors, and strategic branch opportunities
- Identify new recruiting channels and growth opportunities across wealth management and retirement markets
- Lead and develop the internal recruiting team
- Establish recruiting KPIs, pipeline management standards, and performance expectations
- Implement scalable recruiting processes that improve sourcing, candidate engagement, and conversion
- Lead relationships with external recruiting firms and strategic recruiting partners
- Evaluate recruiter productivity, candidate quality, and conversion metrics
- Negotiate recruiting agreements and ensure external partners are aligned with organizational goals
- Partner closely with Regional Vice Presidents to support advisor recruiting efforts across the organization
- Develop recruiting strategies, coaching, and tools that strengthen field recruiting activity
- Lead recruiting pipeline reviews and support territory growth initiatives
- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Compliance, Marketing, Technology, and Advisor Experience teams to enhance the advisor transition and onboarding experience
- Help create a differentiated advisor journey that supports recruiting success, early productivity, and long-term retention
- Drive continuous improvements based on advisor feedback and industry best practices
- Develop executive recruiting dashboards and reporting
- Monitor recruiting activity, conversion rates, advisor appointments, asset transfers, and retention
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations that improve recruiting performance and decision-making
Skills
- 10+ years of experience recruiting financial advisors or leading advisor acquisition initiatives within wealth management
- Proven success recruiting experienced advisors, advisory practices, or branches
- Experience within an independent broker-dealer, RIA, wealth management firm, retirement services organization, or related financial services environment
- Experience leading recruiting teams and managing external recruiting partners
- Strong strategic planning, operational leadership, and analytical capabilities
- Outstanding communication, relationship management, and leadership skills
