GetMyCourse is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to the Accountant to provide administrative and bookkeeping support. This role involves assisting the Accountant with processing transactions, maintaining records, preparing reports, and completing compliance-related tasks across a diverse group of entities.
Responsibilities
- Enter supplier bills, invoices, and receipts into the accounting system
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Perform bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations
- Maintain supporting schedules and reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Process and reconcile intercompany transactions
- Assist with maintaining fixed asset registers
- Prepare draft Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) for review by the Accountant
- Reconcile GST, PAYG withholding, and superannuation accounts
- Compile supporting documentation for tax and compliance lodgements
- Assist with preparation of monthly management reports
Skills
- Strong bookkeeping skills
- Experience with Australian accounting requirements
- Ability to work accurately across multiple entities
