[Remote] VP, Finance (relo to Baltimore, MD, Insurance Industry Specific)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Frederick Fox is a leading search firm partnering with a top insurance organization to find a VP of Finance and Accounting. This role involves overseeing accounting and finance functions while assisting the IT team in technology implementation, with a direct path to CFO within five years. Responsibilities • General oversight of Financial statement process, including AP/AR/GL, reporting, close • Assist with performance reviews, hiring, task delegation, etc • Create, test, maintain, internal controls • Reinsurance Accounting • Ensure compliance: Sarbanes Oxley, Statutory Accounting Principles • Treasury management, including presentation of financial reporting to the board • Cashflow and budget management • Oversee and deliver projections • Investment management • Assist with the analysis of new technologies to implement Skills • CPA or MBA in Accounting / Finance • 12+ years' progressive Accounting & Finance Experience • 4+ years' leadership of Accounting & Finance personnel • 2+ years' recent insurance industry experience (P&C, Health, etc.) • Heavy experience being involved in overall organization strategy (not just A&F ops), at least contributing to these conversations, if not making the decisions • Strong comfort with / background in technology (able to assist IT in analyzing tech to implement) • Outstanding Communication • Statutory Accounting Principles experience • Reinsurance experience Benefits • Relocation assistance provided, as needed • 1st yr bonus: $50k (descretionary) • Profit Sharing : $20-25k (definite part of the comp, not descretionary) • Very competitive comp and benefits!
