[Remote/WFM] Entry Level Staff Accountant

You will be compensated with a competitive salary for your time and effort.   Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, a powerhouse firm with the heart of a boutique, is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant based in the New York office. This entry level position will provide financial support and general accounting assistance to the New York Finance Department. Responsibilities: • Compile and distribute daily cash position reports. • Generate daily bank, cash application, accounts payable, and trial balance reports. • Process wire transfers and ACH batch payments. • Prepare journal entries. • Analyze and prepare monthly overtime reports and branch profit/loss statements. • Perform monthly bank reconciliation for escrow accounts. • Liaise with external audit firm on annual financial audit. • Assist with annual expense budget. • Perform special projects and other duties as may be assigned. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. • One-year general accounting experience is desired. • Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Familiarity with Aderant Open system for accounting a plus. • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. • Must be flexible for paid overtime. The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in New York City if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees, and certifications (e.g., JD/technology) for example.
