Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Assistant Director for Global Learning Initiatives in the Center for Global Business at Maryland Smith leads the design and implementation of the School's portfolio of on-campus and virtual global learning opportunities for business students. The position is part of a global education team that offers a wide range of interdisciplinary global experiential learning programs for both MBA and undergraduate students. They specialize in virtual and on campus programs, including global case competitions, COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning), virtual internships and exchanges, and international pitch competitions. They also collaborate with staff and faculty across campus and abroad to incubate and launch innovative program ideas that align with both School initiatives (e.g., Smith Start and iSmith, Grand Global Challenges, Interdisciplinary Business Honors, global entrepreneurship, etc) and the Title VI CIBE program (a grant awarded to the School from the U.S. Department of Education). The position is responsible for enrolling student participants, guiding them through successful program completion, and evaluating program outcomes.
