To support a research project on spatial and language development in children aged 4-12, the full-time Research Assistant will oversee data collection, management, and organization while collaborating with a research team, primarily at the Georgetown facility.
Key responsibilities
• Manage data collection and organization for behavioral and imaging studies
• Recruit and interact with child participants and their parents, conducting experiments as needed
• Assist in maintaining lab records, managing IRB documentation, and performing preliminary data analyses
Required qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as Cognitive Science or Psychology
• Experience in conducting behavioral and/or imaging experiments with children aged 6 months to 12 years
• At least two years of experience in a Cognitive Science or related lab setting
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively on a research team
