Research Finance Manager

Job Title: Research Finance Manager Location: Texas CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking a Research Finance Manager for a higher education institution in Texas. This role is ideal for a professional with research administration experience who can assist all research entities within the institution. The desired candidate must have experience in administrative grants and the ability to interpret federal uniform guidance. This position requires an innovative thinker with strong problem-solving skills, customer service expertise, and the ability to interpret financial guidelines. Responsibilities: • Provide financial oversight and compliance support for research administration. • Interpret federal uniform guidance and ensure adherence to institutional policies. • Assist research entities with grant administration and post-award financial management. • Collaborate with faculty, research staff, and institutional leadership to support financial decision-making. • Identify process improvements and implement financial best practices. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience in Research Accounting. • Experience with Banner Products, including Banner Finance Ledger and Ellucian Banner. • Proficiency in Advanced Cognos reporting tools. • Skilled in Adobe. • Preferably experienced in Power BI.
