Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Engage customers in a courteous, helpful, and respectful manner, responding promptly and politely to inquiries and requests for support.
- Receiving and Processing Shipments: Receive and unload store merchandise from third-party vendors, verifying product type, quality, and quantity against invoices to ensure accurate receipt of product.
- Inventory Management: Process merchandise by scanning items to verify receipt, inspect shipments for damages or defects, and record discrepancies or damages.
- Daily Replenishment: Perform daily replenishment duties by pulling products from top stock windows and/or stockroom, and transport merchandise from the stockroom onto the sales floor according to store merchandise plans.
- Sales Floor Support: Organize and rearrange merchandise as needed to execute stocking plans and presentation standards, and process customer transactions through the register when required.
- Additional Duties: Execute price changes and sign changes as needed, and perform additional duties as required, including stocking, freight processing, price changes, and cart retrieval.
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for candidates with previous retail or inventory management experience.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers, colleagues, and management in a professional and respectful manner.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, carry, and move merchandise, with frequent standing, walking, and bending.
- Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with basic computer systems, including scanning and processing merchandise.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Retail Experience: Previous experience in a retail or inventory management role, with a strong understanding of sales floor operations and customer service principles.
- Inventory Management Certification: Certification in inventory management or a related field, with a strong understanding of inventory control principles and practices.
- Leadership Skills: Experience in a leadership or team lead role, with the ability to motivate and direct colleagues.
