Position Overview:
The Safety Director is responsible for developing, leading, and executing safety strategy across multiple high-volume fulfillment and distribution operations within the network.
This role partners closely with site leadership and cross-functional teams to drive a culture of safety excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement proactive initiatives that reduce risk and improve overall workplace safety performance.
This role requires a hands-on, operations-focused leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments and is energized by working directly with site teams to build and sustain strong safety cultures. The ideal candidate brings deep safety expertise, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to influence all levels of the organization while driving network-wide safety initiatives.
Location:
Remote
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday with flexibility based on operational needs
Travel Specifics:
Up to 50% travel required to support multiple facilities across the network
Competitive Compensation:
Attractive annual salary of $150,000 – $175,000 plus a performance-based bonus
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute network-wide safety strategy across multiple fulfillment and distribution operations
- Drive a culture of safety excellence through strong leadership, accountability, and engagement at all levels
- Monitor and analyze safety KPIs, including incident rates, near misses, and compliance metrics
- Identify trends, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventative actions
- Partner with site leadership to ensure consistent execution of safety programs and standards
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and site inspections to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities
- Lead incident investigations and ensure timely, thorough follow-up and resolution
- Develop and standardize safety policies, procedures, and training programs across the network
- Support site start-ups to ensure safety readiness, compliance, and proper program implementation
- Collaborate with HR on workers’ compensation, return-to-work programs, and case management
- Drive ergonomics, injury prevention, and wellness initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all company, customer, and regulatory requirements
- Use data and reporting tools to evaluate performance trends and support strategic decision-making
- Build and develop site-level safety leaders and teams
- Maintain strong collaboration with operations, engineering, HR, and leadership teams across the network
