He kupu mō mātou | About us Global Health, Safety and Wellbeing are a critical support function to all parts of Fonterra ’s global operations and activities. It shapes the long-term organisational direction for health, safety and wellbeing, provides enabling frameworks and guardrails, coaches and advises from the executive level to frontline workers, and facilitates continuous improvement via effective operational monitoring and learning activities. The HSW Solutions, Planning and Learning team is a core part of the Global Health, Safety and Wellbeing group, taking the lead in the development and oversight of Fonterra ’s long-term health, safety and wellbeing roadmap, develops systems and solutions for others in the business to apply, and integrates data to produce actionable health, safety and wellbeing-related insights. Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity As the Safety Leadership & Organisational Performance Lead you will report to the Culture, Systems & Solutions Manager. You will be our day-to-day lead for three areas critical to our organisational safety culture and maturity shift: health and safety governance, safety leadership, and our Safe Operating Mindset principles (based on Human & Organisational Performance). Across each of these, you will ensure that Fonterra has robust and best practice systems, processes, tools, and resources so that our officers, leaders, and teams have access to the things they need to continuously improve due diligence, demonstrate positive safety leadership, and the learning culture we know our Safe Operating Mindset will enable. Other key tasks include: Developing and continuously improving organisational frameworks (Standards and processes) relating to Health and Safety Governance; Safety Leadership, Behaviours, and Accountabilities; and our Safe Operating Mindset principles Building and communicating toolkits and resources that enable best practice health and safety governance, leadership, and application of our Safe Operating Mindset. As necessary, developing and/or running workshops on these areas. Shaping methods for robust and evidence-based measurement and monitoring of health and safety governance effectiveness, the quality and impact of safety leadership, and the degree to which our Safe Operating Mindset principles are being applied Acting as the point of contact for matters relating to health and safety governance, safety leadership, and our Safe Operating Mindset principles Enable the continuous development of others in the Global HSW group, including H&S Business Partners, in relation to health and safety governance, safety leadership, and our Safe Operating Mindset principles so they can build the capability and confidence of their stakeholders in these areas Partnering with Fonterra ’s P&C group to embed our Safety Leadership Expectations into our leadership lifecycle and systems. Developing, designing, and implementing safety culture change initiatives. Lead the design and delivery of training programmes and workshops, focusing on the practical application of human factors, work design and safety leadership principles. Mōu | About You To set yourself up for success in this role you will be a seasoned health and safety, organisational psychology and/or human factors professional.
