Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to lead our apparel and fashion brand. The ideal candidate will oversee sales operations, develop strategic initiatives, and manage a team to drive revenue growth. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for fashion retail. The Sales Manager will play a key role in shaping the brand’s presence both in-store and online, ensuring exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company targets within the apparel and fashion industry.
• Lead, motivate, and supervise sales staff to ensure high performance and excellent customer service standards.
• Manage daily store operations including inventory control, merchandising, stocking, and POS systems.
• Oversee employee recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, training & development, and scheduling shifts.
• Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and cash handling activities accurately.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to team members to foster professional growth.
• Coordinate marketing initiatives to promote the brand and increase store traffic both online and offline.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers through personalized service and effective communication skills.
• Monitor retail math metrics such as pricing strategies, sales figures, inventory management, and store management KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies regarding safety, security, and operational procedures.
• Manage purchasing decisions and inventory management to optimize stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
Skills
• Proven experience in retail sales management within the apparel or fashion industry.
• Strong leadership skills with supervisory experience in a retail environment.
• Excellent negotiation abilities coupled with effective employee orientation techniques.
• Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are a plus for diverse customer engagement.
• Proficiency in managing POS systems, retail math, merchandising software, and inventory control tools.
• Skilled in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff members.
• Sound knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll processing, budgeting, and cash handling procedures.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Effective communication skills with phone etiquette expertise for customer interactions.
• Experience in marketing strategies specific to retail fashion brands including promotional campaigns.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
