Sanitation Operator - Dry Sweeteners (3rd shift)

Come grow with us! This role is not a remote opportunity, it is on-site at our Manufacturing Plant in Indianapolis, Indiana. 3rd shift hours are 10pm-6:30am Sunday-Thursday. The Sanitation Operator will perform and oversee a variety of facility and equipment sanitizations. Work requires independent initiative, knowledge of good manufacturing practices, and experience in working with cleaning chemicals. They will establish proficiency in one of the four production departments with cleaning skills in accordance with daily MSS (Master Sanitation Schedule) and display proficiencies relating to Standard Operating Procedures in assigned department. They will ensure that safety, quality, production and cost KPI’s are achieved. Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities: • Perform detailed sanitization of production machinery and the facility • Oversee proper machinery break down, wash, sanitize, and machinery put together • Ensure proper use and maintenance of floor scrubber, steam cleaner, and sanitation supplies • Performs according to OSHA and Heartland Sweetener Quality Control program safety procedures • Maintain proper PPE usage • Performs related duties as required • All other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Knowledge of food safety and food security guidelines including good manufacturing practices and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points • Knowledge of cleaning solutions • Thorough knowledge of the cleaning and sanitation methods and equipment used • Computer literate • Keep and maintain various records • Ability to diagnose problems, plan and organize appropriate corrective action • Ability to exercise independent initiative • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and other company employees • Ability to understand and follow MSDS sheets and chemical labels • Demonstrate a very high sense of urgency • Must have ability to understand oral and written instructions in English • Must have good job performance and attendance records • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & handle multiple tasks Physical Demands: • Must be able to physically perform the functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions • Must be able to work extended hours, such as daily overtime and an occasional weekend • Must possess visual acuity to document company records • Lifting up to 40 pounds #IND1 This offer from "Heartland Food Products Group" has been enriched by Jobgether.com and got a 72% flex score.
