Job description: SummaryThe School Leader is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day health, safety, and quality of education, for all children within the center's care. The School Leader is focused on providing instructional leadership to promote growth in student learning. All leadership will advocate for the organization in regards to fulfilling our vision and mission statement.This program can run around a max of 60 children.Duties

• Attain, maintain, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and requirements, including but not limited to, Indiana Child Care Registered Ministry Licensing, PTQ, COGNIA, VCP, CCDF, and CACFP.

• Collaborate with the Operations Leader to recruit, hire, and onboard new team members, while fostering a supportive environment that retains high-quality talent to ensure continuity in the learning experience.

• Lead family engagement initiatives and oversee regular internal and external communication.
• Ensure that every family's experience within the school is smooth and cohesive by prioritizing clear, timely communication and easy access to information and resources.
• Work alongside Westminster Preschools teams to engage with field experts, community leaders, and key partners, strengthening opportunities for the growth and development of all children.
• Communication
• Communicate and articulate Westminster's mission, vision, values, and goals clearly.
• Provide abundant communication with current and prospective families through various forms of communication (in-person, procare, newsletters, etc).
• Efficiently, professionally, and consistently utilizes various forms of group communication to staff (i.e. Groupme, email, text, phonecall, in-person).
• Work collaboratively with the Operations Leader and in partnership with the Program Coach to ensure program efficiency and effectiveness.
• Curriculum
• Learn, understand, and oversee implementation of Westminster's Curriculum through Pathwright and in paper form.
• Read Bill Millard's book ?Life Calling,? which provides further depth behind Westminster's Curriculum.
• Ensure all staff are completing curriculum paperwork and assessments.
• Creativity & Resourcefulness
• Motivated self-starter who is able to ask for assistance when needed.
• Proactive in meeting deadlines and planning for future events (i.e. Christmas program, graduation, etc).
• Designs short-term and long-term goals for program development and puts forth creative solutions to meet them.

• Manage the budget to ensure financial stability and sustainability of the school, alongside the Operations Leader.

• Maintain emotional control in stressful situations.
• Creates and maintains healthy physical, emotional, and spiritual boundaries between staff and themselves.

RequirementsQualifications required: Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, at least 2 years of Early Childhood Education experience. Must commit to pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.Qualifications preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or higher, 3 or more years of early Childhood leadership experienceRequirements
