Security Analyst Intermediate Project Duration: 12 Months (Possibility for Extension) Work Location: Remote (Some travel onsite for meetings 2 weeks per year) Hours/Week: 37 Hours Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Scope of the Project: This project focuses on Medicaid Security for Payment Processing Systems . The selected resource will play a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive financial and healthcare data. You will work cross-functionally with multiple teams to enhance system security and reduce risk. Daily Duties / Responsibilities: Conduct vulnerability scanning and coordinate remediation efforts with the responsible teams Deploy, configure, and manage Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools Review and evaluate firewall access requests Research and assess newly disclosed security vulnerabilities for potential impact Assist with incident response and forensic investigations Support Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) assessments Create and fine-tune SIEM alerts based on telemetry from various security tools Preferred Skills (Ranked in Order of Importance) : Experience performing log analysis and query construction in a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system Familiarity with Palo Alto Firewalls and associated management practices Understanding of NIST 800-53 security control frameworks Required Education: High School Diploma or GED Preferred Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security-related certification Employers have access to artificial intelligence language tools (“AI”) that help generate and enhance job descriptions and AI may have been used to create this description.
