About the position
N-able is seeking a Security Principal - Business Continuity to come join us on our exciting journey of growth! Our vision is to enable the digital evolution of small and medium size businesses. This role reports directly to our Senior Manager of GRC and will be responsible for leading the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery program at N-able. This would include recommending best practice, documentation, program management, acting as Incident Commander during BCP/DR incidents as necessary, communicating and rolling out policies and procedures, training, and testing. This position will collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the entire company. In this position, a deep understanding of end-to-end business processes, security frameworks, and technology risk management will be pivotal to success. We are seeking an individual who has risen through the ranks of security and possesses both the hands-on technical skills and who is energized from the collaboration, organization, execution, and satisfaction of successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery program for N-able, including both the business and technology sides of the company. ,
- Develop, document, maintain, and test the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery program. ,
- Implement ISO22301 and document processes, procedures, and plans. ,
- Follow established Governance, Risk, and Security program management methodologies and tools to create reporting and project plans. ,
- Collaborate with departments across the company to ensure that the program is holistic and complete. ,
- Creatively remove project barriers and blockers to ensure project completion. ,
- Ensure projects are completed holistically, including documentation, training, production monitoring, escalation paths, etc. ,
- Mentor junior members of the Governance, Risk, and Compliance team to expand their skill sets and champion their career paths.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant security experience, including Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. ,
- Expertise in implementing enterprise compliance programs (ISO27001, SOC2, or similar). ,
- Deep understanding of how different frameworks (ISO27k1, GDPR, ISO22301, SOC2, SOX, etc.) overlap to ensure efficient controls, documentation, and programs. ,
- Strong organization and project management skills with proven experience managing global security projects. ,
- Strong risk analysis and problem-solving skills. ,
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. ,
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a sense of humor.
