Senior Accountant - Remote

Brandon Clark with the Connexa Search Group is recruiting for a fully remote senior accountant opportunity. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant with a CPA qualification. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and auditing with a focus on handling complex financial tasks and contributing to key accounting projects. We are searching for someone with a continuous improvement mindset who is tech savvy and eager to work in an environment that prioritizes modern systems, efficiency, and automation. Experience with tools like Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Snowflake, Workiva, or Python is highly valued, along with advanced Excel skills, as these reflect the kind of forward-thinking, data-driven environment they operate in. Responsibilities • Evaluate new accounting standards and perform accounting research on new business transactions to determine appropriate accounting. • Participate in the monthly closing of financial statements by recording journal entries and completing detailed analysis of financial statements by identifying trends and variances. • Evaluate financial risk and design controls for mitigation. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Treasury, and Finance to provide accounting expertise on specific projects. • Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external reporting duties. • Assist with external financial statement and audit requests. • Lead or participate in special accounting projects, such as system implementations, process improvements and global accounting processes. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting • CPA required • Experience in accounting, handling complex accounting, required, some public accounting experience preferred • Excellent reasoning and critical thinking skills • Attention to detail and accuracy required • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required Salary depends on experience and location.
