This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: United States Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our client for a remote opportunity (must be within 1-2 hours of Cherry Hill, NJ)! The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial reports, assisting with audits, maintaining internal controls, and supervising a small team of accounting staff. This Direct-Hire opportunity offers an annual salary range of $90,000-$105,000/year depending on experience! Responsibilities: - Prepare and enter recurring journal entries for month-end and year-end closings - Produce accurate and error-free accounting reports, and present findings to management - Maintain the Fixed Asset System, including reconciliations and reporting - Assist in year-end audits and tax audits, as necessary - Analyze, investigate, and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly and annual basis - Support month-end and year-end close processes, collaborating with various departments as needed - Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls - Provide support to plant and corporate staff on ad-hoc projects as required - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and company policies - Continuously improve systems and procedures, and initiate corrective actions when necessary - Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and staying informed about industry trends Supervisory Responsibilities: - Manage a team of 1-2 accounting employees - Develop department budgets and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints - Recruit, select, orient, and train accounting staff - Communicate job expectations, monitor performance, and provide coaching and counseling as needed - Establish strategic goals for the department and evaluate outcomes Minimum Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting - 4+ years of prior accounting experience - CPA preferred - High attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to manipulate large amounts of data - Strong analytical skills with a thorough understanding of US GAAP - Ability to meet assigned deadlines - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and accounting software - Experience with database management is a plus Contemporary Staffing Solutions (CSS) has been a leading provider of contract, temporary, temporary-hire & direct hire solutions.
