Senior Accountant - Temporary Contract

We are an international team of more than 350 people and over 60 different nationalities, founded in the heart of sunny Barcelona. ⭐Role Overview As Senior Accountant you will play a key role in the Finance Team. You will help deliver financial operations, compliance with all laws, tax/financial regulations, internal policies, and be a key role when implementing new financial processes to help scale and improve organizational efficiency. In this role, you will work in a diverse, dynamic, and international team and you will report directly to the Finance Operations Director. ⭐ How will you make an impact? Perform weekly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records. Handle bookkeeping and journal postings to support financial accuracy and compliance. Manage intercompany billing, netting, and reconciliations to maintain consistency across entities. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting activities. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analyze variances to support financial health monitoring. Support the external audit process by providing necessary documentation and analysis. Prepare monthly (VAT, SII, 349) and annual tax filings for multiple jurisdictions, including Spain, the UK, and the US. ⭐ What makes you a great fit? Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics. At least 3-4 years of related experience. Native/near-native speaker in Spanish and English. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (Spanish GAAP). Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to work under pressure with hard-working ethics. Strong diligence and attention to detail. ⭐ How can you earn extra bonus points? Experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment, ideally building processes from scratch.
