Req.) Description Our client in the professional services industry is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in Stamford, CT. This on-site role offers flexibility, with the option to work from home one day per week. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy during month-end and year-end close processes, and providing financial analysis. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a good knowledge of accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, and strong analytical capabilities. Senior Accountant (Public Accounting Exp. Req.) Responsibilities • Play a lead role in supporting month-end and year-end close activities • Prepare and process journal entries to ensure proper classification • Review and analyze general ledger postings to ensure accuracy • Investigate and resolve complex discrepancies via reconciliations • Support with financial statement preparation and reporting • Assist management with tax compliance and accounting administration • Support the preparation of annual external audits & address auditor inquiries • Analyze, book, and validate accruals, identifying areas for adjustment • Confirm proper and timely revenue recognition • Manage the evaluation of bad debt allowances and adjustments • Respond to requests for financial information and data • Recommend internal controls to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of accounting practices Senior Accountant (Public Accounting Exp. Req.) Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree is required • 2+ years of public accounting experience is required • Experience with general ledger analysis & journal entry auditing is required • Strong Excel skills, including formatting, formulas (ex: VLOOKUP) & pivot tables, are required • Ability to work on-site 4 days per week is required #J-18808-Ljbffr Apply Job!
