Job description Senior Accounting Associate Potential Salary – Commensurate with experience ($55k-65k) Milliken Agency Services is a fast-growing consulting firm that offers a variety of support services to insurance agencies, specializing in Applied Systems products. We’re insurance people with technology backgrounds; helping agencies grow their business by both expanding and optimizing the use of their agency management system. MAS was founded in 2017, is headquartered in North Conway, NH, and is a fully remote operation with employees along the East Coast and Midwest, and agency clients across the country. Our ideal candidate: • P&C Insurance Agency professional with at least 3 years’ experience in an insurance agency environment. Experience with Applied EPIC is required. • Strong bookkeeping or accounting knowledge • Strong attention to detail • Strong technical abilities • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel • Commitment to providing top notch customer service • The ability to work in a fully remote position and to self-manage • A desire to constantly learn and help others • Has a passion for problem solving • Has a patient and nurturing approach to helping others • Works well in a dynamic environment • Must be able to pass a background check The Job: • Responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Commission Payable for several agency clients at once • Provide monthly and annual reports for agency clients • Resolve accounting discrepancies with agency clients in a patient and timely manner • Perform direct bill, premium payable, producer/broker, and bank reconciliations • Prepare reconciliation of carrier commission statements • Perform month end requirements for agency clients in a thorough and timely manner • Other projects or items as needed • Schedule is Monday through Friday Benefits: • Fully Remote (no travel necessary) • Health Insurance • Dental Insurance • Vision Insurance • Short Term Disability Insurance • Life Insurance • 401K • HSA • All equipment provided by Company • Generous PTO • Paid Holidays • Ample Opportunity for Growth • Rare opportunity to become an integral member in a rapidly growing business Job Type: Full-time Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year Benefits: • Dental insurance • Disability insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Retirement plan • Vision insurance • Work from home Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday Application Question(s): • How many years of Insurance Agency experience do you have?
