Role Overview
Lead the design and construction oversight for the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center (VAMC), Chicago, IL Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) Infrastructure Upgrade project. Ensure construction activities comply with VA standards, federal and state codes, and project requirements.
What You Will Do
Review and interpret construction contract documents, drawings, and specifications. Perform constructability reviews and assess impacts on hospital operations. Monitor project schedules, budgets, and change orders.

Must have 10 years of combined design and construction experience in active medical facilities. Proven ability to supervise and manage personnel across disciplines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
- Must be a Registered Architect (RA)
- Minimum 10 years of combined design and construction experience in active medical facilities
- Experience with VA Design Manuals, Specifications, and TIL
- Knowledge of construction contract documents, building codes, budgeting, and scheduling
- Proven ability to supervise and manage personnel across disciplines
