Job Description:
Plans and implements activities related to the procurement of raw materials, goods and services. Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Approves and qualifies vendors, obtains quotes, examines bids and makes awards. Follows up on all awards through completion of order. Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers’ operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, and maintains necessary records. May prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages. Negotiates and settles with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations and engineering changes. Follows applicable anti-corruption ethics, laws, and regulations.
Essential Functions:
Execute lifecycle of the procurement process from requisition through purchase order close out
Ensure delivery dates are current and obtainable in the system and meets program requirements
Closely communicates with suppliers to maintain industry best On-Time delivery standards
Interface with several internal groups including Program Management, Program Finance, Engineering and Material Managers/Planning to ensure meeting of program requirements
Resolve invoice issues ensuring on time payments to supplier
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C. area, Denver, or NYC areas is $63,000 - $117,000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia is $55,000 - $102,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
