Job Description: What You'll Do

As a Senior Business Risk Control Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing compliance and operational risk/control activities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting risk assessments and implementing controls to manage operational, financial, and compliance risks.
• Developing and implementing job aids, tools, and processes to facilitate efficient execution of policies & procedures and risk & control identification.
• Executing control testing to ensure that controls are appropriately designed and identifying control or procedural gaps.
• Implementing third-party management risk activities and initiatives to support the business unit, ensuring all third parties undergo appropriate due diligence and monitoring.
• Managing and analyzing key risk metrics within the organization, identifying negative trends, and supporting business partners in root cause analysis and action planning.
• Acting as a key liaison for assigned teams during regulatory exams, internal compliance reviews, and internal audits, managing requests for information or documentation, and leading action planning activities for any findings.
• Analyzing data, providing insights on trends, making recommendations, and tracking remediation efforts.

Qualifications: What We're Looking For

The Basics

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in financial services, Marketing, Compliance, Internal Audit Operations, or Vendor Management areas or related fields. (In lieu of education, 6+ years of experience in these areas can be considered.)

Essential Skills and Competencies

• Strong understanding of compliance and operational risk management principles.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations.
• Excellent communication and liaison skills.
• Experience with risk assessments, control testing, and third-party risk management.
• Proficiency in operating office equipment and software applications.
• Ability to work in a remote environment with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
• Certifications related to risk management or compliance (e.g., CRCM, CCO, etc.).
