Our team is building tools to optimize the creator-to-fan relationship, including native video, enhanced podcasting features, improved creation tools, and new community experiences. We’re continuing to invest heavily in building the most talented team in the Creator Economy and are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to support our mission.
This role is based in San Francisco or in New York and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.
About the RoleYou’ll be responsible for driving executive-level insight into the health and trajectory of the Patreon creator and member ecosystem. Your work will span executive reporting, deep dives into engagement and monetization trends, and synthesis across data science work, user research, market research, business operations, and experimentation.
You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, UXR, and BizOps to surface critical insights and connect the dots across functions. Your work will help inform our senior leaders’ understanding of the business, evaluate growth opportunities, and prioritize company bets.
You’ll own the technical foundation of your work, from building scalable reporting pipelines to automating analyses that feed into ongoing decision-making.
About You
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Applied Math, or related)
5+ years of experience in data science, ideally with experience in an ecosystem role at a scaled company or at a high-growth start up in a role covering multiple domains
Demonstrated experience shaping company-level strategy
Strong technical skills for data analysis and reporting workflows
Strong communication skills - able to tell clear, compelling stories with data to executive and non-technical audiences

Patreon operates under a hybrid work model, where employees based in office locations are expected to come into the office two days per week, excluding sick time and paid leave. The posted salary range is dependent on the location and the level. This range may encompass multiple levels within the role’s job family. The final offer will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, competencies, and geographic location, aligning with the appropriate job level within Patreon’s leveling framework. For remote employees located outside CA and NY, salary may vary based on location and local market conditions.
