About the position
Responsibilities
• Communicate a clear design point of view and direction around woven tops and outerwear.
• Identify trends in the global and local marketplace and filter through brand aesthetic.
• Develop seasonal design ideas and concepts in collaboration with the Design Director and broader design team members.
• Ensure seasonal collection communicates both big fashion ideas and locally relevant messages.
• Collaborate and influence within and across different parts of the organization.
• Design and develop the selection of fabric, color, print/pattern, details and trims seasonally.
• Execute the design process components to achieve or exceed targets for the seasonal calendar.
• Manage creation and execution of PLM BOM data integrity: protos, commercial samples and production.
• Strategize and drive Concept-To-Consumer Calendar timelines, process, and deliverables.
• Sustain effective partnerships with Merchandising, Product Development and Sourcing.
Requirements
• College Degree in apparel design, or a combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 7 years design experience, including 3 years as an apparel designer or lead designer in mens tops category or brand.
• Expertise in textiles and product development.
• Strong working knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, fabric construction, print and pattern, fabric finishing techniques and processes.
• Lead a team in executing design direction and prioritizing deliverables.
• Experience with CLO & Miro.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• MAC literacy/fluency.
• MS proficiency, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
• Proficient on all design platforms, Adobe CC and PLM program.
