Job title: Senior Director, Finance Company: Laird Technologies Job description: Description : Through financial planning and analysis of the performance of the Laird Connectivity, the Senior Director, Finance plays a key role in determining strategy and day-to-day business control. RESPONSIBILITIES • Working within the senior management team, provide financial expertise to facilitate the identification of profit growth/improvement and cash generating opportunities and the strategies for gaining benefit from them, ensuring they are properly incorporated in the financial planning of the Company. • Working with the CFO, manage the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts ensuring they are consistent with the strategic planning of the Company. • Understand and explain the performance of the business compared to plan, identifying improvement opportunities and risks. Lead the review of financial performance with a monthly commentary summarizing key issues. • Provide financial analysis and approval for all proposed capital expenditures within the Company, ensuring that financial costs and benefits are properly represented. • Support the CFO in the implementation of financial policies and procedures throughout the Company. Work with internal auditors to avoid and eliminate all material control weaknesses. • Assist unit managers with preparation of annual budget. • Work with Sales and actively take part in preparing quotations as well as necessary preparation for major price negotiations etc. The responsibility also includes developing and globally implementing procedures and templates to be used. • Work with the management to analyze long-term growth opportunities and participate in the long-term strategic planning process. REQUIREMENTS • Ability to interact with senior management • Ability to think strategically and perform long range planning • Good PC skills EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE • Accounting qualification e.g. CPA • BS (Accounting or Technical), MBA preferred • At least 7 years experience in a role leading financial analysis of business performance and decision making in a multi-site, international environment Education : Bachelors Expected salary: Location: Akron, OH Job date: Sun, 11 Dec 2022 06:17:25 GMT Apply for the job now!
