As the Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse and Analytics, you will lead the charge in developing and implementing strategies to combat adversarial abuse, driving data-driven decision making, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team. Key Responsibilities Lead the Adversarial Abuse team in identifying and mitigating threats from malicious actors, including account takeovers, spam, engagement abuse, and evasion of termination Develop and implement effective strategies to prevent adversarial abuse, leveraging data analysis, machine learning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams Partner with the Policy Development team to create policies that describe malicious behavior, using account, social, and content signals Deliver high-quality, efficient operational performance in a global team working 24x7, engaging, retaining, and developing top talent Manage accelerations with tight timelines, providing data-driven insights and implementing policies while building relationships with key cross-functional partners to launch new products and policies that effectively prevent adversarial abuse Collaborate with the Business Analytics team to measure abuse, interpret data, generate insights, and provide regular reporting through dashboards for all of YouTube Trust and Safety Develop transparency and compliance reports for countries around the world, ensuring that YouTube meets its regulatory and social responsibilities Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., mathematics, engineering, computer science) 2+ years of experience in risk management, fraud fighting at scale, and building/deploying analytical models 2+ years of experience working with engineering teams that shape data infrastructure and ML models 2+ years of experience leading teams with the ability to work non-standard weeks of work as accelerations require Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., mathematics, engineering, computer science) 2+ years of experience in analysis of large datasets and anomaly detection Experience or demonstrated interest in anti-abuse activities Knowledge of SQL, R, or Matlab Excellent influencing and leadership skills, with the ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners Outstanding business judgment, strategic and analytical skills, including using data to drive strategy and business action, with the ability to work in a fast-paced industry and manage ambiguity while minimizing uncertainty through quantitative insights Skills and Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop effective solutions Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand the commercial implications of technical decisions Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At YouTube, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
