Key Responsibilities
- Drive the technical direction and component guide of large-scale cloud systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Act as a technical lead, contributing to and coordinating the efforts of development teams, including internal and external partners.
- Determine functional feasibility by assessing research, issue definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
- Lead the detailed definition of feature requirements through discussions with product managers and clients.
- Champion continuous improvement by evaluating options and new technologies, and implementing changes to optimize system performance.
- Prepare and present solutions by determining and scheduling system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Assess code to ensure it is valid, properly organized, meets industry standards, and is compatible with programs, devices, or operating systems.
- Mentor junior programmers to enhance their skills and knowledge through guidance, coaching, and training opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date with cutting-edge development tools, software techniques, and computing hardware by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of programming development methodologies, practices, concepts, and technologies gained through formal training and/or work experience.
- Proactive sharing of knowledge and skills of programming development and testing to solve a range of issues.
- Advanced knowledge of at least one required programming language.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, negotiation skills, and performance in working with various Innovation or partner teams.
- Ability to articulate (verbally/visually) ideas, approaches, concepts, decisions, risk, influence, and provide guidance to technical, non-technical, and leadership audiences.
- Capacity to lead multiple projects, whether administrative or project-related, while maintaining a successful level of completion in all accountable work.
- Ability to guide others and lead ideating, presentations, coaching, and group thinking meetings.
- Capacity to influence without authority.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance regulations.
