Senior Legal Billing Specialist

Global Law firm is seeking a Senior Legal Billing Specialist for their New York City Office. Requirements: Three to eight years of billing experience within a law firm billing department, and experience with Elite 3E. The firm is open to fully remote in several states. Responsibilities: • Senior Billing specialist will interface with clients, attorneys, and administrative staff regarding billing matters • Train and mentor new billing specialists at the firm • Attend weekly management and partner meetings to review unbilled matters and billing issues • Update and review comments for reports distributed to partners and finance • Distribute monthly partner reports • Communicate and interact with attorneys, administrative and clients providing information and timely responses to any inquiries and assignments • Successfully create billing schedules and billing analysis • Senior Billing specialist will verify, research and make needed corrections to client billing requirements and rates, amounts, descriptions, client/matter data • Successfully review billing supporting documentation • Assist with bill resolution and submit invoices electronically • Senior Billing specialist will execute complex bills in a timely manner to include preparation of electronic bills, split party billing and multiple discounts by matter • Ability to process write-offs in accordance to firm guidelines • Successfully apply on-account/retainer funds • Edit and review pre-bills • Analyze, process and compile high volume of attorney bills to clients monthly • As-hoc projects as needed Requirements : • 3-8 years of billing experience in a large law firm environment • Elite 3E software experience; familiarity with E-Billing hub and multi currency • Law firm billing experience is required • High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree highly preferred • Experience with Microsoft office suite, particularly in Excel • Strong written and oral communication skills • Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills • Good organizational skills, proactive and results orientated • Ability to deal with all levels of firm personnel and client contacts • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Strong ability to work independently • Strong financial oriented background • Salary $85,000-$105,000 Apply tot his job
