Key Responsibilities As a Senior Lineworker and Mechanical Helper, you will be responsible for: Performing all aspects of line work, including day-to-day maintenance and construction of overhead and underground electrical facilities Working in enclosed spaces, manholes, and vaults, and performing aerial and underground work, including utility distribution construction tasks Operating various pieces of equipment, including aerial bucket trucks, bread vans, and digger derrick trucks Reading and understanding job prints and sketches, and applying distribution standards Performing confined space and bucket rescue tasks, and properly setting up and operating aerial baskets and digger derrick trucks Identifying materials and understanding distribution construction specifications Performing energized work on secondary voltage lines, and using meters to perform tests and install 3 and 4 wire secondary lines Troubleshooting, splicing, and repairing energized underground secondary cable circuits Performing advanced primary voltage switching tasks, and constructing vaults and network grids Demonstrating strong leadership capabilities, including indirect crew leadership Maintaining a well-organized jobsite, and ensuring a safe working environment Essential and Preferred Qualifications Education and Experience To be considered for this role, you must have: A high school diploma or equivalent 3-4 years of experience as a lineworker or mechanical helper, with a strong background in electrical distribution construction and maintenance Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities We are looking for candidates with: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing situations A strong commitment to safety, and a willingness to follow all safety protocols and procedures The ability to lift, rig, and tie knots, and perform physical tasks in all weather conditions A valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a Class-A CDL Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Entergy, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
