Introduction to Workwarp and the Role Workwarp, a pioneering force in the digital media landscape, is seeking an exceptional leader to fill the position of Senior Manager, Ad Operations. This role is pivotal in overseeing the strategy, direction, and management of the account management team, ensuring the seamless execution of ad campaigns across a diverse portfolio of digital brands. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the sales team, technology, pricing, planning, and inventory departments to guarantee that account managers are equipped with the necessary information to launch, monitor, and optimize digital ad campaigns effectively. Job Summary In this critical role, you will report to the Director of Account Management and collaborate extensively with the Revenue Management & Operations teams. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the flawless execution and delivery of campaigns against stated goals and objectives, mitigating revenue loss and providing exceptional customer service. Building meaningful relationships within the organization, particularly with the sales team, is essential, as you will be the go-to expert for all matters related to the Account Management role. Key Responsibilities and Duties Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage the direction of the team, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and goals. Issue Resolution and Troubleshooting: Handle escalations and troubleshoot issues promptly, providing effective solutions and maintaining high service standards. Representation and Collaboration: Represent the Addressable Ops organization within the Ad Sales org, fostering strong relationships and collaboration. Project Initiation and Oversight: Initiate and oversee projects aimed at increasing team efficiency and developing long-term training and education strategies. Business Rule Development: Work with ad ops management to develop and implement business rules and policies for the ops org, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices. Partnership Management: Serve as a day-to-day contact with outsourced partners, ensuring the delivery of white-glove service to clients. Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Training To excel in this role, you should possess: Minimum 7+ years of experience in digital ad operations at a publisher, ad tech company, ad agency, or ad network. At least 3 years of management/mentorship experience , with at least two years in a direct people management role. Excellent understanding of standard business practices related to digital ad operations pitch-to-pay processes and systems. Mastery of digital ad serving tools for video and display, such as Google Ad Manager, Freewheel, etc. Familiarity with the digital online ecosystem , including third-party ad servers like DCM, Sizmek, Innovid, and ad serving technologies like VAST and VPAID. Experience with OperativeOne or other digital order management systems . Ability to operate both tactically and strategically , leading the team to execute on organizational priorities. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following skills and qualities are highly desirable: Ability to work effectively under pressure and a passion for solving problems. Strong communication and presentation skills . Experience with and enthusiasm for an organization undergoing rapid changes . Ability to aggregate and normalize data from multiple sources, compiling it into actionable formats and building executive-level dashboards. Familiarity with digital display and video ad formats on various platforms, including web, mobile, app, and OTT/CTV platforms. Understanding of live streaming ad insertion (DAI/SSAI) and measurement vendors like Nielsen and Moat. Effective management skills , with an appreciation for the responsibility and accountability that comes with leadership.
