Job Opportunity: Senior Payroll Specialist - Remote Data Entry
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. As a key member of our payroll team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of employee payroll, while providing exceptional support to our employees. This is a remote data entry opportunity with a day shift, and the successful candidate will be based in the Philippines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for assigned APAC countries using a third-party payroll company
- Prepare, post, and update payroll changes, new hires, and leavers for every entity to the payroll services in a timely manner through Workday HCM
- Coordinate with payroll companies on timely payout to personnel and statutory payments
- Perform tasks associated with monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reporting and taxation
- Serve as the point of contact for employees on payroll questions through the Zendesk ticketing system
- Record, screen, and report on monthly payroll costs and raise purchase orders
- Report on payroll services' settlement renewal dates
- Collaborate with Philippines and Singapore team members to ensure global system alignment
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in payroll and accounting processing in a BPO or shared services environment
- Experience working in APAC payroll, particularly in Korea, Australia, and India
- Excellent knowledge of payroll and associated statutory labor laws required for payroll-related calculations
- Above-average proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Microsoft Excel, and Word, and Workday
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with payroll processing and compliance in multiple countries
- Knowledge of Workday HCM and payroll processing systems
- Certification in payroll or accounting, such as CPP or CPA
