This is a remote position. Schedule: Monday to Friday, with a flexible schedule during U.S. Eastern business hours Total Weekly Hours: 25 hours per week (approximately 5 hours per day) Our client is seeking a seasoned Property Management Bookkeeper with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in DoorLoop, capable of managing end-to-end accounting for multiple properties with accuracy and insight. This role goes beyond basic data entry — it requires a critical thinker who understands how property management accounting should flow within DoorLoop, can identify inconsistencies, and maintain clean, auditable records across all properties. Responsibilities • Manage all bookkeeping tasks directly inside DoorLoop, including rent payments, owner distributions, vendor invoices, and reconciliations. • Audit and validate entries for accuracy and compliance with property management accounting best practices. • Generate and analyze financial and occupancy reports, ensuring data integrity and consistency across properties. • Identify and correct irregular or misclassified entries, ensuring transactions align with property-level accounting rules. • Oversee monthly reconciliations of bank, tenant, and owner ledgers. • Coordinate with property managers and owners to clarify discrepancies or unusual transactions. • Maintain detailed records for expenses, maintenance, deposits, and capital improvements. • Optimize DoorLoop workflows and configurations to ensure a clean accounting structure and scalability. • Prepare month-end and year-end reports, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and trust account summaries. Requirements • 3–5 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience within DoorLoop (required). • Strong understanding of property management accounting, including trust accounting, rent roll management, and owner statements. • Proven ability to troubleshoot and correct data inconsistencies within DoorLoop. • Proficiency in reconciliation, reporting, and transaction mapping. • Deep understanding of accounting entries for property operations (rent, deposits, maintenance, vendor payments). • Experience managing multi-property or portfolio-level accounting. • Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Experience with QuickBooks, Buildium, or similar systems (a plus). Preferred Attributes • Ability to independently identify errors or missing data without supervision. • Experience setting up or optimizing DoorLoop for multi-property operations. • Comfortable suggesting process improvements for accounting workflows and reporting accuracy. • Organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple deadlines efficiently.
