Job Summary:
The Senior Systems Engineer, Platform Engineer will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining our technical infrastructure, including hardware and system software
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions and drive business success
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our systems and processes
- Providing expert-level support and troubleshooting for complex technical issues
- Developing and maintaining documentation, including infrastructure as code models and knowledge base articles
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Delivery & Execution (30%): Developing and implementing infrastructure architectures, collaborating with teams to deliver solutions, and ensuring systems are secure and up-to-date
- Learning (15%): Staying current with industry trends, participating in learning activities, and applying knowledge to improve systems and processes
- Planning & Analysis (20%): Researching and analyzing business trends, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving the evaluation and recommendation of new technologies
- Support & Enablement (35%): Collaborating with teams to understand needs, enabling them with infrastructure, and providing expert-level support and troubleshooting
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3-5 years' experience in Linux/Unix administration, infrastructure as code, and container orchestration
- Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
- Strong troubleshooting and remediation skills, with experience in multiple IT disciplines
- Scripting language experience, with proficiency in Bash and Go preferred
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, network operations, and version control systems
- A bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
