Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

We are located in Oldsmar, FL / West Tampa and are hiring immediately. API is a local manufacturer of metal products like doors, canopies, etc. and is hiring a Shipping / Receiving Manager to receive a wide variety of materials in a very busy warehouse. You will handle orders from receiving through production, and shipping. You will also complete other related warehouse and shop related duties as required. You must have very strong experience with paperwork and entering receiving paperwork into the computer system. Shipping / Receiving Supervisor Responsibilities: • Will work hands on and perform all daily shipping / receiving activities. You will receive materials such as doors, door hardware, metal extrusions, storefront, and many other products. • You will assist in unloading trucks as required, both manually and using a forklift. • Must review and maintain receiving schedules and ensure all materials are received and shipped in a timely manner. • In charge of contacting and managing relations with freight carries both local and intrastate. • Maintain quality of product & quality material handling. • Jump in and be hands-on in manufacturing facility where an extra set of hands is needed. • Will have to complete receiving reports, RMA (return material authorization requests), QC reports, etc. • Will thoroughly QC all material received and shipped. Shipping/Receiving Supervisor Requirements: • Must have excellent attention to detail • Must be very proficient in completing paperwork accurately and timely • Must be very accurate when completing paperwork • Must have experience in material handling • Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, to team and management. • Prior experience working in a warehouse environment, ideally in the construction or manufacturing industry. • Ability to effectively multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. • Must be able to drive forklift • Sheet metal, doors, powder coat, glazing, fenestration (glazier / storefront) exp. a plus but not required Shipping/Receiving Supervisor Employee Benefits: The Company offers a very attractive benefits package that includes: • Health, Dental, Vision Insurance.
