Small Business Tax Prep - Seasonal/Remote

About the position JDA TSG's Tax Services Group is seeking Seasonal Tax Preparers to assist small business clients across the nation. This remote position requires candidates to be actively credentialed Enrolled Agents (EA) or CPAs with an active PTIN. The role focuses on delivering exceptional service to small business owners during the tax season, from January through mid-April, with a competitive hourly wage starting at $35.00 plus benefits. Responsibilities • Prepare, review, and sign tax returns for small business owners. , • Work efficiently to prepare a minimum of 2 tax returns per day. , • Manage a large book of business, handling up to 50 customers at a time. , • Provide guidance to customers on general tax questions for personal and corporate taxes to ensure compliance with relevant tax laws. Requirements • Must be an actively credentialed Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA with an active PTIN. , • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a small business tax preparer. , • Working knowledge of LLCs, Partnerships, S-corporations, and C-corporations and the tax issues related to these entity types. , • Understanding of basis and balance sheets. , • Strong customer service and problem resolution skills. , • Proficiency with technology, including remote desktop and Google Workspace or G Suite. , • Working knowledge of CCH is required.
