Join Electronic Arts as a Sound Design Intern for the Summer to collaborate on high-quality audio for groundbreaking games using Unreal Engine and Wwise.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
• Collaborate closely with the Audio Director and Sound team to design and edit high-quality audio for in-game assets.
• Implement and integrate sounds into the game using Unreal Engine and Wwise, ensuring seamless audio experiences.
• Organize, spot, and assist with foley recording sessions for cinematic sequences.
• Support the team with bug fixes, audio troubleshooting, and quality assurance testing.
• Participate in meetings and contribute innovative ideas to the game.
About You
What you'll need:
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in a related field, with expected graduation no earlier than December 2026.
• Proficient in designing and editing sounds in a DAW; experience with Reaper preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with audio middleware and game engine scripting; experience using Wwise and Unreal Engine preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Passion for creating immersive audio experiences.
Compensation & Benefits
• Hourly pay range in California: $19 - $30 USD, depending on location.
• 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated if less than full-time).
