Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate posting of credit card transactions (AMEX and VISA). Including monthly reconciliation.
- Create and import monthly journal entries such as accruals, deferral, sales tax and prepaids.
- Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules
- Assist with the month-end, reconciliation and closing process
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate finance reporting.
- Maintain and organize accounting files • Assist with other accounting projects
- Reports to Accounting Manager
Qualifications for Staff Accountant:
- 1-2 years of Accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations.
- Computer Literate - using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Zoom, and other software and PC operating systems
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational, communication and Excel skills.
- Flexible scheduling (must report to Los Angeles office throughout week)
- Able to sit at a desk for long periods of time
Compensation: $23-$26 per hour
