Staff Accountant - Hybrid in DC About the Company and Opportunity: • Our client is a nonprofit organization looking to bring on a Staff Accountant in their Silver Spring office. • The position is hybrid (3 days in, 2 days remote) and the schedule is Monday - Friday 8 am-5 pm. • The first 1-2 weeks will be in office for training then would move to the hybrid schedule. • Pay is $30-34/hr - a great place to network, learn new software, and keep your skills alive! • This position is temporary, but for the right candidate, it could go permanent! • The company is known for investing in its employees and promoting from within. • Some of the employee reviews include things like: • "Everyone you work with is helpful and cares deeply about the mission. Overview of the Staff Accountant role: • Billing - prepare invoices and maintain an established billing schedule • Payment Posting - credit, cash, check, & ACH • Collections - B2B collections - monitor the aging - establish relationships with clients • General reconciliations • Ad hoc reporting Qualifications for the Staff Accountant: • 3-5 years' accounting experience • Non-profit experience is a plus • Sage Intacct experience is a plus • Proficient in Excel • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Apply Job!
