The successful candidate will lead financial strategy development, provide management consulting, and deliver tailored financial insights to clients across a portfolio of engagements.
Day-to-day work involves analysing financial data, offering proactive consulting to optimise business operations, and communicating strategic solutions clearly to support client decision-making. Collaboration with clients on an ongoing basis is central to the role, requiring strong relationship-building skills alongside technical financial expertise.
• Develop and oversee financial strategy for a portfolio of small-to-mid-sized business clients
• Provide controller-level oversight of accounting systems and processes
• Build and maintain strategic financial models and forecasts
• Deliver proactive management consulting to guide client decision-making
• Analyse financial data and translate findings into actionable recommendations
• Collaborate with clients regularly to support ongoing planning and operational goals
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to interpret financial data and develop strategic insights
• Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including presenting recommendations to business owners
• Ability to work independently within a fully remote team environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• Relevant professional certification such as CPA or CFA is an advantage
