About the position SoFi is seeking a Strategic Program Manager to join the Controllership Team, reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer. This role is pivotal in leading transformation projects and improvements throughout the Controllership organization. The Strategic Program Manager will be responsible for managing strategic projects aimed at modernizing, accelerating, and enhancing financial processes, thereby playing a critical role in scaling finance operations. The position requires a strong focus on enhancing the efficiency, clarity, and accuracy of financial information, ensuring that processes are industry-leading. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally to drive time-sensitive deliverables, track issues, and report on progress. In this role, you will drive transformation initiatives that align with the Controllership organization's strategy, goals, and technology roadmap. You will partner with various teams within the Controllership to implement process and system improvements that enable effective scaling of operations. The Strategic Program Manager will orchestrate large-scale, cross-functional projects, ensuring seamless coordination between diverse teams for successful execution and delivery. You will be responsible for tracking projects from conception through implementation, preparing and presenting high-level reports on program progress, gaps, and key highlights to leadership. Collaboration with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables is essential, as is the development of detailed project plans that include timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Regular project status meetings will be conducted to provide updates to stakeholders and senior management. Utilizing project management tools and techniques to monitor and track progress is a key aspect of this role, as is facilitating collaboration between technical and non-technical teams to achieve project objectives. You will work closely with senior leadership to align efforts and drive organizational goals, preparing agendas, briefings, and materials for leadership meetings while tracking action items and follow-ups on deliverables. Requirements A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. , 5+ years of progressive experience in leading programs and business management with a blend of strategic thinking and tactical execution. , Experience in a public company within a fast-growing global environment. , Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, completing objectives on time. , Demonstrated success in leading large transformational implementations. , Strong project management and system process analysis skills. , Ability to develop documentation for training and user procedures. , Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong presentation abilities. , Ability to analyze challenges and opportunities, build strategies, and manage projects to completion. , High emotional intelligence to build relationships across various levels and departments. , Proven performance in a high-growth, dynamic environment. , Strong analytical skills and solid business judgment. , Willingness to engage in all aspects of project work, including less glamorous tasks. , Ability to balance and prioritize multiple work streams for different stakeholders. , Passion for learning and supporting the mission of helping members manage their finances. Nice-to-haves Experience in management consulting, fintech, or banking/financial services. , PMP, CPA, or MBA certification. , Fluency in Spanish.
