Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to support the launch and ongoing operations of a newly established Raw Material Center (RMC) on the East Coast. This is a strategic and highly visible role focused on ensuring raw material readiness, supply continuity, and planning excellence. While the position is remote, the selected candidate must be available to work during Eastern Time Zone business hours.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and procure raw materials and devices required for the RMC.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support raw material procurement and readiness.
- Perform Change Control Assessments on Supplier Change Notifications.
- Ensure all master data related to planning and sourcing is accurately maintained for raw materials.
- Lead and manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Influence and align internal stakeholders toward common goals to ensure consistent supply assurance.
- Lead demand planning, forecasting, and inventory movement analysis.
- Maintain accurate and timely supply chain metrics.
- Maintain excellent communication lines across demand and supply sources.
- Collaborate with quality, finance, process development, and other internal functions.
- Provide ad hoc reporting and KPI dashboards to support planning decisions.
- Present recommendations and insights to executive-level stakeholders.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, in alignment with Amgen Values and Leadership Attributes.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience
- (Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
- Strong background in materials management, procurement, inventory, and demand planning
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in SAP (T-code navigation required)
- Experience with RapidResponse (Kinaxis) is highly desirable
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Smartsheet knowledge is a plus, but not required
