Tax Accountant & Controller

Company Description Dynamic solo CPA firm based in Financial District, NYC. Role Description This is a remote position (20-40 hrs per week) for a Tax Accountant & Internal Controller role based in New York, NY. The role will involve preparing personal and business tax returns from start to finish using Proseries tax software (client mix is mostly 1040's, and some entities). Additional duties outside of tax season include managing internal accounting for a private company in the lending space using quickbooks, quickbase, and various cloud programs. Qualifications. • Responsiveness. Since this is a remote position - there will be a strong focus on responsiveness and accountability. No two hour response times while doing something else. • Proficiency in Tax Compliance, Tax Preparation, and understanding of Tax regulations • Strong knowledge of Financial Statements and Accounting principles using quickbooks. • Attention to detail, with excellent organizational and analytical skills • Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to meet deadlines and operate independently. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification or equivalent is preferred • Relevant experience in tax accounting and prior exposure to working with clients in a professional services environment • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively Apply tot his job
