Tax & Accounting Associate

Huber CPA, PC is searching for talented, bright, and motivated individuals with the highest level of personal integrity to join our team as a Tax & Accounting Associate. Associates play a key role in client engagements by establishing a personal and direct working relationship with clients. They complete bookkeeping, prepare Business and Individual tax returns, and provide guidance on a variety of tax issues for clients. This position will engage, maintain, and improve client relationships. What we are looking for in a Tax & Accounting Associate: • Financial Statement Understanding • Debit & Credit Understanding • Tax Law Knowledge • Preparation of Individual, Business, and Payroll Tax Returns • Excellent Customer Service Skills • Comfortable and Willing to Work in a Team Environment with Challenging Deadlines • Working Knowledge of QuickBooks • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications Our future Tax & Accounting Associate will have skills and experience in these areas: • Problem Solver, Independent Thinker, Asks Thoughtful Questions • Strong Client Service and Communication Skills • Excellent Attention to Detail and Organizational Skills • Identifies Opportunities for Efficiencies in Day-to-Day Workflow • Promptly Communicates Client Issues to Management • Proficiency with Time Management and Meeting Deadlines While Multitasking • Flexibility to Adapt to Firm and Client Specific Practices • Bachelor’s Degree • Minimum of Two Years-Experience in Accounting and Tax Preparation. • CCH Axcess ProSystem Tax Software Experience a Plus • Willingness to obtain or EA Designation or CPA Certification Additional Information: • Overtime Required February – April • Overtime Possible August – October • 4 Day Weeks May – July, November – December • Position Not Eligible for Remote Work • Position starting at $20+ DOE Huber CPA, PC benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, a retirement plan with a company match, a flexible vacation policy, and a casual environment that lets you work independently.
