Trucking Dispatcher - Preferred Carrier of California - Chino, CA - work from home job Company: Preferred Carrier of California Job description: TRUCKING DISPATCHER We at Preferred Carrier Of California are looking for two reliable and professional dispatchers to help with our Over the road drivers. Dispatcher will be responsible for 10-15 drivers. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for communicating with the truck drivers and customers via phone or email for dispatching. • Responsible for relaying work orders, route rescheduling and assisting the driver with any inquires. • Responsible for keeping track of the driver's location and number of hours driven to make sure he leaves and arrive on time for scheduled freight appointments. • Dispatched drivers on contracted loads by relaying pickup and delivery information as well as routing. • Minimizing empty miles, maximizing revenue generating miles • Updating board throughout the day with equipment and load info • Maintained professional relationships with customers via phone and email. • Reporting detention, OOS & V immediately. • Staying up to date on freight trends • Knowing backhaul/head-haul markets and the relevant pricing • Completing new customer contracts • Pre-planning your assigned drivers • Computer proficient (Outlook, Word, Excel) • Great organizational skills • Bilingual preferred • In office position (No remote positions open) REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum 1 year of transportation experience • Possess strong communication and negotiation skills and be able to work under pressure HOURS & COMPENSATION: • These are full time positions • Am shift and Pm shift • Start pay $16/hr.
