Tutor In-Home Elementary (Language Arts & Math)

About the position Responsibilities • Provide one-on-one tutoring for elementary ELA & Math. • Skilled tutoring using the student's own curriculum and real-time assignments. • Ability to simplify concepts and help build better study habits and organizational skills. • Help to improve students' academic performance and achieve their learning goals, praising small victories. • Assist students with guidance and understanding of course materials and their individual academic needs. • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly. Requirements • Must have a minimum Bachelor's degree. • Proficiency in Elementary subjects and curriculum. • Minimum 2 years' experience working with students in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring roles. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain goals and concepts clearly. • Ability to simplify concepts and adapt to different learning styles. • Basic technical skills for reporting sessions and writing student progress/session notes. Nice-to-haves • Experience in tutoring or mentoring students in a one-on-one setting. • Familiarity with various teaching methods and learning styles.
