Duties: Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Support payroll processing and maintain accurate employee records, ensuring timely and efficient payment. Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions. Maintain accurate records of transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Quicken, ensuring seamless data management. Collaborate with team members on various accounting projects, including LIHTC compliance, to drive success and achieve goals. Participate in audits and assist in the preparation of audit documentation, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Stay updated on financial concepts and regulations relevant to governmental accounting, applying knowledge to drive business growth. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with relevant experience considered. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks and Quicken, with a plus for experience. Knowledge of governmental accounting principles and practices, with a plus for experience. Understanding of payroll processing and related regulations, with a plus for experience. Experience or coursework in financial statement preparation and financial analysis, with a plus for experience. Basic knowledge of accrual accounting concepts, with a plus for experience. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members.
