(Urgent) Cyber Exercise Support Specialist

September 12, 2025 We are urgently seeking a Cyber Exercise Support Specialist to join our cybersecurity team. This remote or hybrid role is essential in planning, coordinating, and supporting cyber exercises that test organizational readiness and response to cyber threats. The ideal candidate has a strong background in cybersecurity and hands-on experience with cyber exercise facilitation. Job Description The Cyber Exercise Support Specialist will assist in designing and executing cyber exercises, including tabletop exercises, simulations, and red team/blue team drills. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scenarios, track progress, and analyze outcomes to enhance the organization’s cyber defense capabilities. You will provide technical support during exercises, document findings, and help prepare reports and recommendations for leadership. This position requires a proactive approach to improving cybersecurity posture through rigorous testing and training. Key Responsibilities Assist in the design, coordination, and execution of cyber exercises and simulations. Support incident response teams during exercises by providing technical expertise. Develop and maintain exercise documentation, including scenarios, rules of engagement, and after-action reports. Collaborate with IT, security, and leadership teams to assess readiness and identify improvement areas. Track exercise metrics and provide feedback for continuous enhancement. Stay current with cybersecurity trends and best practices related to cyber exercises. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, particularly in incident response or cyber exercises. Familiarity with cyber exercise frameworks and methodologies (e.g., NIST, MITRE ATT&CK). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work remotely or in a hybrid environment with flexible hours.
