We have a fully designed, locked-in front-end homepage for our Shopify store, built out in Figma with complete desktop and mobile specs. We need a Shopify developer to extend that visual system across the rest of the site and build the whole thing out live.
This isn't a design job- the look is decided. We need someone who can read a design system fluently, apply it with precision to pages and components we haven't detailed yet, and turn all of it into a working site through Shopify.
SCOPE
Extend the homepage's visual language (typography, color, spacing, components) across all remaining pages: product pages, collection/category pages, cart, navigation and dropdown menus, search, footer, 404, and any pop-ups or modals (newsletter capture, promotions, etc.)
File build-out in Figma so our in-house team can approve before development begins
Build everything out in Shopify using sections/blocks so our team can update content post-launch without a developer
Fully responsive, matching the desktop and mobile specs provided in Figma
Cross-browser and cross-device QA before launch
Set live on our Shopify store
WHAT WE WILL PROVIDE
Figma file with the locked homepage design (desktop and mobile)
Brand packet / guidelines / asset library
Access to our Shopify backend and current theme
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Strong hands-on experience with Shopify Liquid and Online Store 2.0 theme architecture (sections, blocks, metafields)
Track record customizing or building Shopify themes from a design file, not just installing templates
Solid HTML/CSS/JS and responsive build skills
Experience with Figma, Dropbox, and Google Suite
Comfortable translating Figma specs into pixel-accurate, production-ready code
WHO WE NEED
A developer with a genuine eye for visual detail and UI principles, someone who protects the integrity of the design while flagging real technical constraints early rather than after the fact
A team player who takes direction well, adjusts when priorities shift, and doesn't get precious about it
Clear, proactive communicator who can explain and defend technical decisions without over-explaining
